About Me

Video Editor. Storyteller. 
Luz Carasa is an editor, writer, and storyteller based in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in Spain and studied anthropology and film between Madrid, Barcelona, and Berlin.
 
For the last twelve years, she has worked as a commercial editor for different post houses and agencies with clients like Toyota, Nike, Adidas, and Columbia Sportswear.
She has also worked as an editor in several independent documentary films with awards in many festivals: Waking the Camino: 6 ways to Santiago"," Seed: The Untold Story," "Voyageurs without Trace," among others. She has also worked on several projects produced by OPB/ PBS.
 
She recently finished her first documentary short film, "Giants," which won the Best Short Documentary award at Ashland Independent Film Festival and the Audience Award for Documentary Short at the Bend Film festival. It has also has been part of the official selection of the Portland EcoFilm Fest, Wild and Scenic Film Festival, and JellyFest.
